Street Fighter V Official Frame Data App App Reviews

23 add

Good, but...

We want Alex ! The app should be updated immediately with the frame data. Also, a good thing to add would be a spreadsheet version of the frame data with 5 columns: starting, active and recovery frames ; and on hit + on block frames. This would allow quicker access to the characters move fd as a whole.

Good

But No update since Alex is in Game now!

Allways late on characters update

The app is ok, but for something "official" the app should be uptated at the same time the new characters are... (Here it take more than 2 weeks) Otherwise, why do we pay for it?

Useless

This app is a scam, you pay for some informations free. This just a résumé of each charactere. Useless...

No Alex frame data

Alex has been out for 2 weeks and still no frame data on him. Isnt the official? Why it is outdated?

Mediocre

Despite the fact that you can get the frame data for free in an easy to read Google doc, I thought it would be convenient to have this on the go on my phone. Which it is, to a degree. From a user experience and user interface perspective, its pretty simple with only 2 buttons, but I wish there was multiple layouts to choose from. I feel like the dev team didnt put any effort into the UI, as everything is in a scrolling format. Standing moves are on a different page from crouching which is annoying, and each move has essentially 1 whole mobile page worth of real estate, making scrolling through the moves way longer than it needs to be. I wish each move and frame data was laid out so you can see the basic data, then highlight via long press to see more data. Or at least have different viewing options. It seems like a lazy cut and paste job. Whats worse, theres no pictures so unless you know what every move looks like, it wont be that helpful. Dont quote me on this, but some of the frame data seems wrong, it says that RMikas ex shooting peach is upper body invincible from frame 3, but its fully invincible lower and all from frame 1. Not worth the cost in my opinion.

Great app but is missing counter hit frame data

Its a great app but it definitely should have frame data for moves on counter hit

Terribly organized!

The data for a single move doesnt fit on one page. Its way too hard to navigate and find the move you want. There is just way too much scrolling. Just an absolute terrible design. Hopefully it gets fixed. VFrames does it infinitely better.

^

Overtime people might come across exceptions, but frame advantage on counters are always fixed. Find out how much advantage each type of attack nets you (lights, mediums, heavys, CCs) and learn to add. ...You filthy casual.

Excellent, but missing Counter Hit data

The app is an amazing resource for any avid Street Fighter fan. Most of the essential info youll want to know about for any character, for any move is there. The only thing Ive noticed is that frame advantage on counter hit is missing, which is pretty big oversight since there are a lot of combos that only work if you land a counter hit. Hopefully a future update can add those values for each move. Ive also noticed that a few moves are missing completely from some characters moveset, like for Birdie, his command grabs are missing from his special moves, and RMikas Normal throws actually show her Unique attacks.

This is crap

Waste of $

Be patient

The game is only a week old. The data is going to change as time passes. Especially when new characters get released.

Incomplete

Missing half a lot of special moves and hard to navigate horrible app. Theres a free one out there thats much better.

Overpriced. Garbage.

Terribly organized. Very Slow (even on a 6S+). Lots of scrolling. Its fine for a quick reference, but trying to figure out what works and what doesnt (according to Frame data) at a glance is impossible.

Terrible Format

Theres too much scrolling to see frame data. You should be able to look at a move and see the whole table of frames but instead you have to scroll down just to see the full frame info. If you want to compare characters its going to take a lot longer because of this. Please reformat that app.

Incomplete...

This app seemed to be rushed. The legend is incomplete as far as what everything in the app means. They have different color tiles in the app and theyre not explained in the legend. Its missing a lot of move properties i.e. Projectile inv, throw inv etc. the format could be better also, to much scrolling. Theres no bnb combos thread or counter hit data either. I dont even own the game yet but I downloaded the app to get a head start on things. I think they need to look at a better format and make sure everything is in the legend. Thats why Im giving this app one star for it being soooooooooooooooooooo incomplete.

Much better

The old version was hard to use, hard to navigate, hard to understand and hard to read. The text of move names were so big. But luckily they listened and they tried to improve it. The app is now much better than before and I give them credit for that.

Great but

All other FREE frame data apps have already updated for the march update. Having paid for this app, I was expecting the same with disappointment.

Needs an update

Decent app for the price. Alex has come out and this hasnt updated yet. You can get frame data on shoryuken.com. I hope this app gets updated monthly for new character release.
